Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to add my whole wardrobe before I can use Indosso?

No. To get started, Indosso needs enough clothes and shoes to put together two everyday outfits and one dressier outfit suitable for today's weather. The same pieces can be used in more than one outfit.

Start with clothes you wear frequently, including something you'd choose for a dressier occasion. You can add more items whenever you like.

Free: Up to 30 closet items.

Premium: Unlimited closet items.

How do I add clothes to my closet?

Select Add Item in your Closet, choose a clothing category, and find the item that most closely matches something you own in Indosso's built-in catalog.

Choose its material, color, pattern, and pattern color when applicable, then add it to your digital closet. No photographs or manual descriptions are required, and Indosso does not currently take or store photographs of your actual clothing.

You can add multiples of the same item at once.

You can add more clothes whenever you like.

How does Indosso choose what clothes go together?

Indosso understands more than colors and patterns. It considers what each garment is, how it's constructed, what it's suitable for, and how it works with other pieces in your wardrobe.

When creating an outfit, Indosso considers your activity, dress expectations, weather, and personal preferences. It evaluates how garments work together, including their colors, patterns, materials, layering, and overall style.

From your own clothes, Indosso offers up to three approaches — Calm, Polished, and Bold — each designed for the same activity and conditions, but with a different style expression.

You remain in control. Explore more combinations with Try 3 New Looks, or use Make a Change to adjust an outfit to your liking.

For a step-by-step walkthrough, visit How It Works → Get Dressed.

Does Indosso use the weather when creating outfits?

Yes! Indosso considers the weather when choosing clothes from your wardrobe, helping you dress appropriately for the conditions as well as your planned activity.

For Today's Outfits, Indosso uses current local weather conditions. For Plan Ahead, it uses weather forecasts when available and typical seasonal conditions for dates farther away.

When planning a trip, Indosso considers the weather typically expected at your destination during your travel dates. Once your trip begins, it uses current destination weather when available.

The goal is to help you feel comfortable and appropriately dressed, whatever your day brings.

Can I change an outfit if I don't like something in it?

Absolutely! Indosso offers suggestions, but you always have the final say in what you wear.

If you like an outfit but want to change a particular piece, select Make a Change. You can replace, add, or remove clothing and accessories using items from your wardrobe to make the look your own.

Want something completely different? Select Try 3 New Looks to explore more outfit combinations.

Free: Make a Change is included. Try 3 New Looks counts toward your five daily outfit generations.

Premium: Make a Change and unlimited outfit generations.

For a step-by-step walkthrough, visit How It Works → Get Dressed.

Does Indosso learn what I like to wear?

Yes! Indosso can learn from the outfits you actually wear, the changes you make, and the preferences you choose.

Over time, it uses this information to help personalize outfit suggestions for the activities and situations where your preferences apply.

You're always in control. In Settings, you can review learned preferences, choose which ones to keep or forget, turn personalization off, or reset what Indosso has learned without deleting your outfit history.

Indosso doesn't make style decisions for you. It learns from your choices while leaving the final decision in your hands.

Can I plan outfits for future days or trips?

Absolutely! With Indosso Premium, you can plan what you'll wear tomorrow, next week, or on your next vacation.

Plan Ahead lets you choose multiple outfits across multiple future dates. You can even plan your entire week's wardrobe on Sunday, so you'll have one less decision to make each morning.

Plan a Trip helps you prepare for travel by choosing outfits for your destination, expected weather, and planned activities. Indosso then organizes your selected clothing into a packing checklist.

Your plans can be saved and revisited whenever you need to make changes.

Free: Not available.

Premium: Plan Ahead, Plan a Trip, and unlimited saved trips.

For step-by-step instructions, visit How It Works → Plan Ahead or Plan a Trip.

How many clothes can I keep in my Indosso closet?

Indosso offers two options depending on the size of your wardrobe and how you want to use the app.

Free: Add up to 30 closet items. That's enough to start exploring outfit combinations using clothes you already own.

Premium: Add unlimited closet items, giving Indosso access to your entire wardrobe when suggesting outfits.

You can start with Free and upgrade whenever you're ready. Both plans use the same Indosso outfit engine.

What is included with Free, and what requires Premium?

Indosso's Free plan gives you access to the same outfit intelligence as Premium. You can build your digital closet, receive weather-aware outfit suggestions, explore Calm, Polished, and Bold looks, and use Make a Change to personalize your outfits.

Both plans use the same outfit engine. Premium gives you more freedom to use Indosso whenever and however you need it.

Can I use Indosso while traveling?

Absolutely! With Indosso Premium, your outfit planning doesn't stop when your vacation begins.

After planning your trip and once you start your trip, Trip Active uses the clothes you've packed instead of your entire wardrobe. Tell Indosso what you're doing, and it suggests outfits using the clothing you actually have with you, considering the destination's weather and your activities.

You can explore new combinations, make changes to your outfits, and even add clothes you purchase during your travels.

When it's time to return home, Indosso also helps you keep track of your belongings with a return packing checklist.

Free: Trip Active is not available.

Premium: Trip Active and its travel wardrobe features are included.

Do I need to buy new clothes to use Indosso?

No. Indosso helps you discover more ways to wear the clothes you already own, without requiring you to buy anything new.

But sometimes, one carefully chosen addition can make a big difference to your wardrobe.

Indosso can identify when your closet is missing something needed for a particular activity or weather condition, helping you understand what would make your wardrobe more useful.

The goal isn't to stop you from shopping. It's to help you make better use of what you own and make smarter decisions about what you buy.

Buy less, but buy smarter.

Does Indosso work for different kinds of wardrobes and clothing?

Absolutely! Indosso is designed for different wardrobes, personal styles, and ways of dressing.

Whether your closet contains casual everyday clothes, business attire, formalwear, dresses, suits, athletic clothing, or a mixture of everything, Indosso considers how your garments work together and what you're dressing for.

Indosso's outfit intelligence is gender-inclusive. It evaluates clothing based on its characteristics, suitability, and compatibility rather than restricting outfit choices by gender.

You don't need a particular fashion style or an expensive wardrobe to use Indosso. The goal is to help you make the most of the clothes that reflect your personal style.
