Indosso remembers things to make getting dressed easier — not to judge you, build an advertising or identity profile about you, or control your choices.

This is the plain-English version of how we treat your data. The full legal version is in our Privacy Policy.

How Accounts Work

Indosso uses an email account so your closet syncs across your devices and survives reinstalls. You can sign up with email and password or with Google Sign-In.

Your email is used for sign-in, account recovery, and legally required account notices — not for advertising, not sold, and not shared except with service providers needed to operate your account.

Your Data Belongs to You

Everything you add to Indosso is yours.

Your closet, outfits, wear history, preference-related data, and trip plans belong to you
You can export available account data and delete your account
You can reset learned preferences when you want Indosso to start learning again from now; Reset is not the same thing as deleting your Wear History
You can clear your closet without losing your account
You can delete your account entirely — active app data is deleted, with a brief backup retention period of up to 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy

What We Remember

Indosso stores the information you choose to add so the app can work for you:

Items you've added to your closet — these are selections from our built-in catalog, with the colors, materials, and patterns you choose. We don't take or store photos of your real clothes.
Outfits you've confirmed that you wore, kept as durable Wear History
Outfits you've saved
Committed adjustments you make to suggestions
Preference controls and limited learned preference information
Trips you've planned, including the destination name you typed in
App settings
When available, limited weather context saved with a confirmed wear so Indosso can remember the conditions in which you actually wore it

This account data is used to provide Indosso's features. It is not used to advertise to you or to build a marketing, identity, or sensitive-trait profile.

Learned Preferences

Indosso can notice limited, app-specific tendencies from your own confirmed wears, committed changes to outfit suggestions, and preference controls. It can use what it learns to improve the order of suggestions, and to adjust limited comfort defaults — for example, how cool the weather can be before a particular item stops being suggested for you.

This is not collaborative or advertising profiling. Indosso does not compare your preference history with other users to decide what you should like, and learned preferences do not rewrite the app's basic outfit rules.

You control learned personalization in the app's Settings:

Turn off — learned preferences stop influencing your suggestions. Your Wear History and preference evidence are kept.
Keep — tells Indosso to keep using a learned tendency.
Forget — tells Indosso not to use the earlier evidence for that tendency. If your later choices show the same tendency again, Indosso may learn it again.
Reset learned preferences — starts learning again from now. Your historical Wear History is not deleted.

Some things Indosso has noticed may be shown to you as factual observations even when they are not currently changing a recommendation.

What We Measure — Only If You Say Yes

Indosso asks you once, during setup, whether you're willing to let us measure how the app is used.

Until you answer, no analytics runs. Neither analytics tool loads. If you decline, they never load, and nothing about Indosso changes — no feature is withheld, nothing is slower, and we don't keep asking you.

(Basic server and security logs are a separate thing and exist either way. They keep the app running, they are described in our Privacy Policy, and they are not analytics.)

You can change your mind whenever you like, in Settings, in either direction. When you turn it off, the page reloads. That's on purpose: a measurement script that's already running can't be reliably stopped, so we restart the app without it.

One thing worth knowing plainly: your answer is remembered on the browser or device where you gave it, and nowhere else. It isn't attached to your account. If you use Indosso on your phone as well as your laptop, you'll be asked on each, and you can answer differently on each.

Two things follow from that. If you were already using Indosso before this choice existed, you'll be asked once, the first time you open the app after the change arrives. And if you clear your browsing data, your answer goes with it — you'll be asked again, and analytics stays off until you answer.

If you do say yes, Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics may measure:

App or website visits, sessions, page or screen views, and engagement
General feature use and subscription or upgrade interactions
Referral and campaign information, such as Pinterest tracking links
Location that may be as specific as your city, and browser, device, operating-system, and app-version information, which may include device brand and model

Google Analytics uses pseudonymous browser or app-installation identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions. Vercel Web Analytics uses anonymized, cookie-free measurements and a short-lived visitor hash.

We do not intentionally send your email, Firebase account ID, closet contents, individual outfit pieces, trip destinations, precise GPS location, or payment credentials through analytics.

We use analytics to understand and improve Indosso — not to judge your style, follow you across unrelated apps or websites, build advertising profiles, or sell data.

No ads. No advertising profiles. We haven't turned on the Google Analytics features that would create advertising-style information about you: Google Signals is off, so Google doesn't attach demographic or interest categories to your activity, and we send Google no email addresses or phone numbers to match against. There's no Google Ads account linked and no export destination configured, so there's nowhere for that kind of data to go.

Location and Weather

When you turn on weather context, Indosso uses coordinates supplied by your device to fetch the current weather for that request. The normal request goes through our server to WeatherAPI.com. If that request fails, the app may send those coordinates directly to Open-Meteo; Open-Meteo will also receive your device IP address in that case. The coordinates may be precise or approximate depending on your device permission settings. Some geocoding requests may also go directly to OpenStreetMap Nominatim. We don't save current-weather coordinates to your closet or profile or use them to track where you go. Trip destination names you type in are saved as part of your trip plan.

When you confirm that you wore an outfit, Indosso may save a limited observation of the weather conditions with that wear, when available. That lets the app remember the conditions in which the outfit was actually worn without saving the live-weather coordinates as part of the wear record.

If you have agreed to analytics, those providers may separately derive a location from technical connection information, which may be as specific as your city. That location is worked out from your connection — it is not the precise location you provide for weather, and it is not used to track where you go.

You can turn weather access off in your device settings at any time.

What We Never Store or Infer

Beyond account and technical identifiers needed to operate the service, we don't infer or store identity traits — age, gender, body type, health, income, or lifestyle — unless a future feature clearly asks for that information and you choose to provide it. If that ever happens, it will be described in our Privacy Policy first.

We don't profile your identity. We may learn limited outfit preferences as explained above, but we don't use them to infer who you are or sensitive traits about you. We don't make any judgment about whether your clothing choices are “good” or “bad.”

Teens and Families

Indosso is for people age 13 and older, and teenagers may use it. Teen users get the same privacy-protective design: no ads or advertising profiles, closets private by default, analytics only if allowed, and controls over learned personalization.

If you're under the age of majority where you live, our Terms require permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. Local laws may also require parental authorization for some consent-based processing.

When a Person Looks at Your Data

Indosso is built and run by one person. If you report a bug, or something goes wrong with outfit generation, that person may need to look at the data for a single account — including its closet contents and the outfits it generated — to work out what happened.

That's for fixing problems and keeping the service working. It isn't used to review or judge anyone's clothes, and it isn't used for marketing.

How Memory Is Used

Memory exists to support your next decision, not to replace it.

It can help surface better suggestions, improve their order, adjust limited comfort defaults, or reduce repetition. Learned preferences do not override your choice, and they are not used to relax rules that exist for suitability, dress-code, or safety reasons.

You are always in control.

How Data Is Stored and Processed

Your account and closet data is stored in Cloud Firestore (Google Firebase) and synced across your devices. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

Limited analytics data is processed by Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics as described above and in our Privacy Policy.

Android subscriptions are processed through Google Play and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your Firebase account ID as its App User ID, along with purchase, subscription, entitlement, and technical information needed to manage the subscription. Website checkout is processed by Stripe, which receives the checkout, payment, transaction, and technical information needed to complete and manage the subscription. Indosso does not store your full payment-card number or full payment credentials.

Run ads or use analytics for advertising profiles
Send your closet contents or individual outfit pieces to analytics

Use analytics to judge your style or infer sensitive traits
Take or store photos of your real clothes
Run any analytics before you've agreed to it
Collect speculative personal data solely for unrelated future features

If Things Change

If memory or analytics becomes more capable in a future version, any material change will:

Be clearly explained — not hidden
Be reflected in our Privacy Policy and public disclosures
Remain subject to your legal rights and available controls
Never take control of your clothing choices away from you

Past closet data is not silently reinterpreted for unrelated purposes.
